Relevant Experience
Mr. Cogan has over 25 years of facilities management experience. Prior to joining Canisius College, Mr. Cogan was a Vice President for Jones Lang LaSalle, a global provider of Real Estate Management Services where he was responsible for the fiscal and operational performance of 225 HSBC Bank USA properties in Upstate New York totaling two million square feet. Preceding that assignment, he held the position of Director of Facilities at the Culinary Institute of America, a world-renowned Culinary Arts College located in Hyde Park, New York. Foregoing that assignment he held the position of Area Property Manager for NYNEX’s Corporate Real Estate Department where he managed a six million square foot portfolio with over 500 properties located throughout New York State.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Cogan holds both a Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) designation from the Buildings Owners and Managers Institute International. He is a member of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) and The International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (CoreNet). He is a licensed real estate salesman in the State of New York.
