Through the close analysis of religious texts, discussions of theological and moral issues, and written reports, the religious studies and theology major learn critical and analytical thinking. Students are equipped to deal with complex and abstract thought, and are therefore well prepared for a variety of professional careers in both religious and secular fields. Canisius College religious studies and theology graduates are employed as lawyers, teachers, social workers, counselors, directors of religious education programs, clergymen, nuns, chaplains, philosophers and authors.
