The Canisius College Leadership Society, formerly known as the Leadership Gift Clubs, is comprised of an exceptional group of alumni, parents and friends. Membership is reserved for individuals who invest $1,000 or more each year to help make today’s students tomorrow’s leaders.
Our strategic plan will take Canisius to new levels of growth and success. We will surpass those goals with the assistance of leadership society donors, who have demonstrated a desire to see Canisius excel.
Membership Benefits
Membership brings a level of recognition reserved for alumni and friends who support the college in an especially generous manner. All members receive:
- A personal thank-you from Canisius College President Rev. Vincent M. Cooke, S.J.
- An invitation to the annual Leadership Society cocktail reception.
- A prominent listing in our annual report.
- As well as special consideration and invitations to selected events on and off campus.
Qualifications for Membership
Donors must reach the appropriate level by May 31 to qualify for membership in the Leadership Society. All gifts within the fiscal year are included in a donor's total, including gifts to the Annual Fund, endowment, capital, Blue & Gold, as well as matching gifts from employers. Unrestricted, current-use gifts to the Annual Fund give Canisius the greatest flexibility to invest in the highest priorities.

Fidelis Circle
The Canisius College Annual Fund introduced a new giving level in 2007. The Fidelis Circle was created exclusively for donors who commit $1,870 or more to the Annual Fund per year for five years. Canisius was founded by members of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1870.
Fidelis Circle members receive immediate, individual attention including automatic renewal of their Leadership Society membership. Other benefits include:
- Exclusive communication about the growth and status of the college.
- Invitations to preferred campus events.
- Prompt attention to inquiries or matters of interest.
- A bottle of wine from Rooster Hill Vineyards, compliments of owners David ’86 and Amy ’82 Hoffman.
