This program is designed for teachers who already possess teaching certification and want to gain advanced content knowledge and learn about the latest curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment methods in Social Studies.
Students may participate in the optional travel component for independent study/research credit featuring a trips to London, England and Brussels, Belgium.
The Master of Science in Education Degree (MSED) meets the master’s degree requirement for permanent or professional certification required for teachers in the state of New York.
The School of Education & Human Services is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the standard of excellence in teacher preparation.
